Black History Workshop
On Thursday 22nd October 2020, Year 4 had a virtual workshop with Lorna Gayle. She spoke to the children more about Olive Morris. They found it interesting to learn that Olive Morris stood up for a Nigerian Diplomat when she was only 16. The police were arresting the man because he drove a nice car. We had a great afternoon.
Mental Health Week
We have been learning about Mental Health in class. We discussed our feelings and our thoughts. We are also encouraged to speak to speak to a trusted adult if we are not feeling well.
World Mental Health Day
Dear Year Four,
Today is World Mental Health Day! We will look at this more when we’re back next week.
Over the last few weeks, we have learned about healthy lifestyles in PSHE lessons. We know how to keep our bodies healthy, but do we know how to keep our minds healthy?
We have created a book list full of stories that can support you with managing your mental health: Mental Health Book List Sep 2020
Remember – you are not alone! Everyone has good and bad days.
Let us know if you have any recommendations.
Best wishes,
The Y4 Team
